I have been celebrating Thanksgiving for at least a week now!
Ken, Benjamin and I were side-swiped by a semi-truck last Thursday on the Beltway.
~ I'm so thankful that no one was hurt.
We found out after the car was in the body shop that not only was the truck driver's insurance not going to assume responsibility, but his insurance policy had been cancelled in October.
~ I'm so thankful that it is an uninsured motorist claim, because our deductible was reduced enough for us to still go to Texas.
The Prius is still in the bodyshop.
~ I'm so thankful, because we had planned to stuff three boys, me and Ken, and the dog in that tiny car for 24 hours of driving and now we're taking the Suburban instead.
We needed to make sure the Suburban was road worthy, with it's 200,000+ miles on it.
~ I'm so thankful for a husband that maintains our vehicles with such integrity. The auto mechanic couldn't find anything wrong with the truck except a belt...which Ken changed here at home (of course!)...$29.99 total.
"So Abraham called that place The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided." Genesis 22:14
The Lord has provided. He always does. We wait, we hope, we watch...and He provides.
~ I'm so thankful to love and be loved by the One True God.
May your days this next week be filled with sweet reminders of the many ways you have been blessed with life. And may you do what is most pleasing to our Father...dance before Him with Thanksgiving.
"celebrate good times, come on..." Favored One!
Have a safe and happy trip, Tobi. Happy Thanksgiving!
