Lead by Standing Still

By day the LORD went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so that they could travel by day or night.  Neither the pillar of cloud by day nor the pillar of fire by night left its place in front of the people.
 Ex. 13:21,22

Sometimes the best leading is knowing to stand perfectly still until the LORD moves.

And the best maturing of faith is to be peaceful and contented in the standing still.

I know in my own home with my children, if I can maintain my center in Christ no matter what is "blowing through" in the day, then that is the best leading I can offer them.  When I allow my emotions, fears, control to get me off center it is always the catalyst for an eruption in the home.

Me at peace = my home at peace.

Lead yourself and others well by being at peace though you have no idea what these next months bring.

Allow yourself to be humbled by the knowledge that you don't know and God does.

Then allow yourself to dream past the "hard" of maybe closing a chapter (or the "hard" of maybe wanting to) and get excited about what God's best is for you.  Because ultimately, that's what is around the corner.

Simple.  Move when the cloud moves.  Stand still and be at peace and REST when the cloud is still.

I'm standing still until the cloud moves, Favored One.  What about you?

Because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance.  Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.    James 1 :34

  2. Ah, Jamie, I hope wherever your feet are planted today that the land is not too dry, nor the horizon too filled with dark clouds, and that above all you find His presence so very real to you, my friend.
