Grasp

"and I pray that you being rooted and established in love,
may have power,
together with all the saints,
to grasp
how wide
 and long
and high
 and deep
 is the love of Christ"
Ephesians 3:17,18

GO
I'm a cheater.
This is my third attempt today to write from a place of freedom.
This is my third Friday to attempt five minutes of freedom.
This is the third day I have ended with nothing but white.

So this is the day I will grasp hold of His promises more tightly.
That His love is wide enough to catch me every time I fall.
That His love is long enough to draw me back from whatever corner I have fled to, whatever memory of who I fear I might be but am not.
That His love is high enough to lift me above my desire to protect myself, high enough to remind me I belong with Him.
That His love is deep enough to really know me.
That I do not go before God to hear Jesus' prosecuting justice, but His love plead for me.
I don't mind grasping while I climb as long as I cling to what I have been rooted and established in ~
the love of Christ.
STOP
Five Minute Friday
Beginning the practice of 5 minutes of freedom from trying to please you or anyone else! : )  Grateful to be joining the community at the gypsymama!

1. Write for 5 minutes flat – no editing, no over thinking, no backtracking.
2. Link back here and invite others to join in.
3. And then absolutely, no ifs, ands or buts about it, you need to visit the person who linked up before you & encourage them in their comments. Seriously. That is, like, the rule. And the fun. And the heart of this community..

  2. I love you! What a blessing, God putting us side-by-side! This move has continued in the stream of "transition," and I hope the by year's end we get a rest from that theme. But He has been so kind to us. I miss you and your words, smiles, encouragement, and joy.
