The Home Date

I have two minutes ... literally. I'm nestled in my warm bed, sunshine spilling through the sheers and falling across the floor, waiting for room service to come back to bed and join me with the fresh cup of coffee and the fruit smoothie I can hear swirling around in the blender.

Last night may have been the first night my man and I shared in our home - alone - with no children since Emily was born. With boys off for sleep-overs, and after we'd chatted, sitting on the classroom floor, we realized moving our date's location to our favorite place, Home, would be a wonder - new, comfortable, known. So on our first-ever date at home with no kids

~ we put our pajamas on
~ watched "Sweet Home Alabama" sitting on the couch under blankets
~ and ate the frozen pizza I had purchased for the kids to eat while we were on our date

All the beauty, and excitement, and desire for adventure are found in the company of each other ... whether we are out or home. 22 years and my cup remains filled to over-flowing.

"Drink of your own well, my son— be faithful and true to you wife…. Let your manhood be a blessing; rejoice in the wife of your youth. Let her charms and tender embrace satisfy you. Let her love alone fill you with delight. (Prov. 5:15, 18-19, TLB)
Have a beautiful, exciting, and adventurous weekend with the one you love, Favored One. And spend time with the One who authored your story, rejoicing with Him and praising His wonder and goodness.

Love you!
